Diving in Tulamben, Bali, Indonesia Pictures of fish that are bit unusual - lions, puffers, etc. Nothing extremely bizarre this time but a couple of nice sightings, especially the long tailed pegasus.
This (above, left) appeared to be a long-tailed sea moth (many other common names, scientific name Pegasus volitans). Not too exciting to non-divers who are into this sort of thing, but it's cousin the short-tailed sea moth or Pegasus fish or short dragon fish (many common names, scientific name Eurypegasus draconis) is one that certain diver types enjoy pursuing. We've read & heard less about this long-tailed variety than the more sought after / popular short-tailed one.
